Gaye Nowak

Gaye Nowak is the originator of PoolSkool.

Having started from the swimming pool in a back garden by teaching family and friends on a One - to - One basis Gaye recognised there was a gap in the swimming tuition market.

She has built up the business using the philosophy that One - to - One tuition is the best possible means of quickly and cost effectively teaching all ages to learn both to swim and perfect their stroke technique as they develop.

Gaye is an experienced Physical Education teacher with fully accredited ASA teaching and County Swimming Judge and Time Keeper qualifications.

Gaye also has a teaching qualification for the teaching of Physically Handicapped and has had experience of teaching both Physically and Mentally Impaired students.

She swam at National level and has represented Surrey County and Hampshire Schools since the age of twelve and is still winning Gold Medals at County level as a Master swimmer for Hampshire today.

She also uses her swimming ability together with running (which she's also taken up) to compete in Biathle - a combined run-swim-run event - which has seen her qualify to compete for Great Britain at International events and take part in the 2003 World Championships in Monaco.
Careful vetting of like minded instructors - all of whom are ASA qualified - ensures that the success she has achieved in the past will continue as PoolSkool expands.

A brief profile of the instructors we engage to continue the tradition and values of PoolSkool can be found by clicking here or in the navigation panel at the side of this page.

Each instructor strives to create a supportive and challenging - yet fun - atmosphere to encourage development and achievement.

All the Instructors we use have been vetted by the Police in order to ensure our customers are provided with a safe environment for their children to be taught in.

The Future
The success and interest shown in PoolSkool by its customers and instructors as well as from external coaches, instructors and teachers has driven forward the desire to expand.

In particular to develop the opportunities open to the One - to - One method of instruction developed by PoolSkool which has proved so successful in the past.

We will keep you all advised of future developments on the NEWS page as we continue to grow.
