Mother and Toddler
Specifically tailored to allow mothers and their children to build familiarity with being in the water. This facilitates a quicker response in building confidence in the water which underpins a safe and smooth transition into becoming a competent swimmer as the child develops and moves into the Beginner Swimmer programme. Pool temperature is kept at ninety degrees which also allows instructors, parents and toddlers to spend extended periods of time in the water with minimal movement and exercise. This temperature also actively encourages young children to actively look forward to their next session.

Beginner Swimmers
Moving seamlessly from Mother and Toddler to Beginner Swimmer allows for a more rapid acceptance of locomotion in the water. However, the Beginner Swimmer programme is designed for anyone who needs to learn the rudiments of swimming no matter what age or level of anxiety in water Our instructors will always determine the pupils history and level of ability before proceeding with a planned course to ensure the quickest route to getting results. Again the Water temperature is kept at ninety degrees - that's about four degrees warmer than municipal pools which can be just that little bit less enticing for the pupil to want to attend classes of more than fifteen minutes.

Improver
Once a child is able to swim proficiently they will move on to learn the basics of all four strokes (Front and Back Crawl, Breaststroke and Butterfly). As they become proficient in these strokes they may be interested in developing their swimming abilities further and will be well placed to join a local swimming club. (After all swimming is recognised as being the best form of exercise). There is quite a range of social life at the local clubs and it is of course at this stage swimmers are introduced to competitive swimming. This course also covers the various strokes and ability to tumble turn and prepares the pupil for extended exercise in the 25 meter pools most clubs use. All of our instructors have been either club members or are indeed instructors at local clubs or other swimming schools and can advise on where best to direct pupils who wish to join a club.

Adult Classes
PoolSkool and its 1-to-1 method of teaching in private pools - away from the gaze of the public - is ideal for those adults who want to learn to swim but are frightened, embarrassed or have anxieties or a Phobia with water or submerging in water The ability to become familiar with water and build confidence is enhanced by the knowledge that experienced instructors are always there to provide direct, helpful and understanding advice in a warm and safe environment.None of our pools is more than 4ft deep and the instructors can be in the water for guidance and assistance to all ages of our clients.
